Etiquette

Personal etiquette is both simple and practical.

Both students and their equipment should be clean, tidy and well presented. Training equipment should be kept in a good state of repair.



Dojo etiquette is more complex, but the basics are simple.

1. Enter the dojo carrying all equipment over the left shoulder or in the left hand.
2. Bow on entering the dojo and take off your shoes, leaving them by the door.
3. Keep to the outside parameters of the dojo when moving around.
4. Keep unnecessary chatter to a minimum.
